Oscars 2017: Smoked salmon Oscars, gold potatoes with caviar, see what the stars dined on

Youtube screengrab[/caption]The menu for this ball has been served by the same man for 23 years. Celebrity chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck released his menu two weeks ago, according to an article in Independent. The Oscars 2017 menu was spread across four A4 pages and includes courses like Savoury Bites, Passed Small Plates, a dessert station and a sushi station. Korean tartare steak on puffed rice, baked potato caviar, lobster corn dogs are some of the dishes mentioned in this menu, which make it a combination of luxury and Chef Wolfgang says that he also included little chocolate award replicas, so that everyone can walk away with an Oscar even if they didn’t win.If a video by the popular Youtube food channel Tasty is to be believed, the spread at Oscars 2017 was lavish to say the least. Moroccan Spiced Wagyu Short Ribs, Gold Potatoes with Caviar, Chicken Pot Pies with Black Truffles were part of the spread. Apparently, the menu also included decadent versions of more common dishes like Baked Mac and Cheese, Falafel and Mini Burgers.Oscar award motifs seem to be an essential at the Governor’s Ball, and the Tasty video also features Smoked Salmon Oscars, shaped like the iconic award. The dessert menu includes Macarons, Meringue and Chocolates, among other plated desserts.Because it is the Oscars, the bubbly served could not be anything less than fancy. The champagne mentioned in the Tasty video is the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, with a special Oscars-themed packaging.[caption id="attachment_3313592" align="alignnone" width="825"]
