No body doubles for 'action star' Akshay Kumar

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar doesn't like using body doubles for his action scenes and says that the day he is unable to carry them himself, he will stop working in such films.[caption id="attachment_479849" align="alignleft" width="380"] Sachin Gokhale/Firstpost[/caption]"I have always done my stunt scenes on my own. I never allow anybody to do my stunts. The day I will not be able to do so, I will stop working in action films. I promise you," Akshay told reporters during the trailer launch of Khiladi 786.The actor, whose last hit Rowdy Rathore was a remake of a Southern film, assures that "Khiladi 786" has an original story."No, this film is not a remake of any South film. It's an original story," he said.Directed by debutant Ashish Mohan, the film is co-produced by Akshay and Himesh Reshammiya and features Asin as the female lead. However, the actress gave the trailer launch a miss. It is slated for Dec 7 release.IANS
