Mrs teaser out: New bride Sanya Malhotra struggles with unrealistic expectations of her new family
Sanya Malhotra fronted Mrs has been selected for the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, or PÖFF (Pimedate Ööde Filmifestival).
Basking in the success of Jawan, Sanya Malhotra is all set to treat the fans to other powerful performances in Arati Kadav's directorial Mrs. The project is the official Hindi remake of Jeo Baby's Malayalam outing, The Great Indian Kitchen, starring Nimisha Sajayan as the lead. Now, the latest update about the venture is that the captivating official first-look trailer of the drama has been unveiled on YouTube. Protagonist Sanya Malhotra will be seen playing the role of a happy-go-lucky girl who gets married into a patriarchal family that expects her to live as per the rules and regulations of their family.
Sanya Malhotra takes on the role of an aspiring dancer who marries into a family that is ruled by patriarchal norms and customs. As a young bride, she is asked to cook fresh meals, clean the house, and take care of everyone, but most of all she has to keep the family above her dreams and aspirations.
