Emraan Hashmi: 'My wife is thinking of leaving me, she keeps threatening me but...'

In an industry where not many manage to stay relevant for years, Emraan Hashmi’s name has been shining bright. The actor’s fame among the masses should be accredited to the content-driven and commercial films that he has acted in, throughout his acting career. Now, the actor is gearing up for his next project, a one-of-a-kind web series titled Showtime.
The web show is gearing up for its release exclusively on March 8th on Disney+ Hotstar. Amidst the promotions of his upcoming show, the actor indulged in a candid conversation with Janice Sequeira, where he made some surprising revelations about his diet.
This began after Janice highlighted that 13 years ago, Emraan Hashmi told her that he eats quinoa. In response to the same, the Selfie actor said he doesn’t eat that anymore while also offering a “better alternative” for the same. The actor said, “Just switch to sweet potatoes. So I’ve two staple meals every day and I’ve the same thing, every year. It’s extremely boring but I’ve chicken keema, because it’s kind of easy to digest, and it’s boiled. Then I’ve salad and sweet potatoes. My cook stocks it, makes it for like an entire week and we bifurcate through the day.”
The journalist further asked Emraan whether his family also eats the same meal. The actor answered in negative. However, he added that his wife is annoyed with his diet. The Murder actor added, “My wife is thinking of leaving me. She keeps threatening me but not done it yet. She doesn’t like what I eat and I’ve been following this particular diet for two years. The salad has avocado, brussels sprouts, lettuce, rocket leaves… Then I have keema and sweet potatoes. This is both meals, lunch and dinner.”
Emraan further noted that to achieve a certain physicality, he eats a boring meal and also indulges in workouts daily.
Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming show also stars Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vishal Vashishtha, Neeraj Madhav, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah in the pivotal roles. Karan Johar stepped in to bankroll the project directed by Mihir and Archit Kumar.
