Disney+ could revive Daredevil, Luke Cage and other Marvel shows axed by Netflix, says top official

Ever since Netflix pulled the plug on popular Marvel shows such as Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil, questions about the superheroes' possible return on Disney's streaming service were left hanging in the air. When Netflix cancelled the shows one after another, fans started theorising whether their exit had something to do with the launch of Disney+ next year.daredevil-season3-825Now, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Mayer, Disney's top 'dealmaker' addressed the concerns of people who want to see Marvel superheroes return in some form or the other. "They are very high-quality shows. We haven’t yet discussed that, but I would say that’s a possibility," said Mayer.Mayer's statement may provide some relief to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however, they will have to wait it out till the launch of the Disney streaming service to know whether the likes of Luke Cage or Matt Murdock will return to their screens.Several cast members of the aforementioned shows had expressed their shock and disappointment with the seemingly sudden axing of their shows from Netflix. Daredevil star Amy Rutberg also recently suggested that the decision to let go of her show seemed like a Netflix decision and Marvel probably had nothing to do with it.
