Dhurandhar 2 OTT release date announced, but will viewers be able to watch it? All you need to know
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is headed to OTT soon, but reports suggest the film may remain unavailable in several regions because of restrictions and platform limitations.

Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster action thriller Dhurandhar 2 is finally heading to OTT, but not everyone may get to stream the film despite its much-awaited digital release.
According to reports, the makers have locked the film’s OTT premiere date, with the sequel expected to begin streaming later this month. However, licensing restrictions and regional limitations could prevent several audiences from accessing the film online.
Why some viewers may miss the streaming release
Reports suggest the issue mainly revolves around geo-blocking and regional content restrictions tied to the film’s controversial subject matter. The international streaming rights of the film is with Netflix, according to report in Moneycontrol. However, in India, the streaming rights is with JioHotstar.
Indian audiences may have to wait a little longer for the film’s official OTT debut. The theatrical version of Dhurandhar 2 reportedly lists JioHotstar as its official streaming partner in the opening credits, suggesting that the platform holds exclusive digital rights to the film. Because of this arrangement, the movie could arrive earlier for international viewers on Netflix, while Indian users may not immediately see it available in their streaming catalogue.
Dhurandhar franchise became a massive talking point
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the Dhurandhar franchise quickly turned into one of the most discussed action properties in recent Indian cinema.
The films combine military action, political drama and large-scale spectacle, with Ranveer Singh playing the central role. The sequel, in particular, generated massive buzz after its theatrical release, becoming a box office phenomenon while also attracting criticism from some international commentators and Pakistani media outlets over its portrayal of geopolitical issues.
