Death Note director Adam Wingard quits Twitter after relentless trolling from manga fans

The live-action remake of Japanese manga series Death Note might not be everyone's cup of tea. From being accused of whitewashing the characters to receiving a 41 percent 'rotten' score on Rotten Tomatoes — the criticism for the Death Note movie on Netflix continued unabated.There would often be impassioned exchanges between Wingard and Twitterati, both sides arguing relentlessly over Death Note.However, a series of philosophical yet angry tweets from the director was followed by his exit from the micro-blogging website. According to comicbook.com, his most recent tweet said, “I love how many people feel personally attacked by this tweet. Its [sic] almost like troll bait. Those that bit expose themselves." He re-tweeted it, followed by, "Sorry trolls but the artist always wins in the long run" and deleted his account.The tweets cannot be recovered since his account is dysfunctional right now.
