Chanda Mama Door Ke: Have producers backed out of project citing financial trouble?

National Award-winning filmmaker Sanjay Puran Singh's Chauhan's upcoming space film Chanda Mama Door Ke, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and R Madhavan might get postponed. Image from Twitter.[/caption]After Rajput's Raabta failed to leave a mark at the box office, the producers reportedly expressed their doubts regarding Chanda Mama Door Ke to the makers.The situation apparently left the producers in two minds about the upcoming venture. The director is now reportedly in a dilemma, and is hoping for another producer to step in and bankroll the film. There is, however, no official word of confirmation about the development.While there are many conjectures about the future of the project being in jeopardy, both Madhavan and Rajput are gearing up to play astronauts in the film. The two actors have been receiving special training at NASA and often take to social media to share details about their first collaboration.Slated to be released around Republic Day 2018, Chanda Mama Door Ke may be India's first space adventure film, as Mahesh Mathai's biopic of Rakesh Sharma, titled Saare Jahan Se Achha, is likely to release much later.
