Reliance Industries unveiled its Jio World Plaza in Mumbai on October 31. The grand occasion was marked by a fashion show that saw 120 International models walking the ramp to showcase the designs of eight prominent Indian fashion designers. Despite all the glam and glitz, International supermodel Ashley Graham managed to steal the show and all the limelight as she slipped into a saree for the first time. Now, Ashley has dropped a post on her Instagram handle to share her experience of donning the Indian traditional attire.Sharing her thoughts about the stunning saree debut at the event, International model Ashley Graham wrote, “I'm honored to have been included in the opening of gorgeous new @jioworldplaza plaza in Mumbai, India 🤩— while donning my very first sari!!! The piece is a handwoven Banarasi brocade sari by SWADESH, an artisan-forward initiative of the Reliance Foundation. The Foundation's Chairperson, Mrs. Nita Mukesh Ambani has championed India’s rich crafts and culture and the initiative is empowering Indian artisans to take their place on the world's runways.”She further added, “Brocade saris are seen as symbols of luxury because of how labor-intensive the weaving process is, and how it reflects the weavers' artistry and commitment to their craft. I cannot get over how stunning mine is”In her caption, Ashley also extended her gratitude for the warm and generous hosting by the Ambani family. The supermodel ended her note by saying that she will cherish these memories forever and cannot wait to come back to explore more of India.Now, let’s decode Ashley’s saree look.
