As Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif celebrates her 33rd birthday on Saturday, she has a special gift for her fans — her official Facebook page. The actress who had resisted social media till date has joined the bandwagon of actors who connect with their fans through this popular medium.On her social media debut, she shared a video message with her fans titled 'Lets do this!' announcing her entry and asking them to be nice to her.
Speaking about this recent development to The Times of India, she said, "Till some time ago I didn't even know what these sites looked like. I probably know as much as a six-year old, I am just learning. I don't want to presume or second-guess anything, instead I want to go with the flow. I think it will be fun to do a chat in the middle of the night and tell people, 'Hey...I can't sleep. What's up?'"Reports in DNA suggest that the Fitoor actress will also be joining Instagram and Twitter.Baar Baar Dekho, her September release, will be the first film that the actress will promote through her page.There are many Bollywood celebs who still do not have a social media presence like actors Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut.
