Baywatch trailer: Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron starrer is the big-screen adaptation no one asked for

Ever get that feeling when you are watching a video, but you are not exactly sure why you are watching it? Maybe you just clicked on the link and now the video is playing and it will all be over in a minute or so, so why not?Well, that's the trailer for the new Baywatch movie.[caption id="attachment_3148244" align="alignleft" width="380"] Baywatch. Twitter @baywatchmovie[/caption]So what do you get when you put together some buff bodies, served with some heavy objectification, some high-school humour, lazy writing, clichéd characters and terrible CGI? A silver-screen adaptation of a 1990s TV show about some lifeguards running in slow motion.Dwayne Johnson and  Zac "V-shape" Efron star in Baywatch as  two unlikely prospective lifeguards who patrol a beach in California.Directed by Seth Gordon of Horrible Bosses fame (yeah really, this guy made that movie. we are not sure why he made this one either), the Baywatch movie features some scantily clad bodies making some boobs and balls jokes.That's about it. Really, watch the trailer after the jump:Alongside Johnson and V-shape, the film stars Alexandra Daddario, Ilfenesh Hadera, Kelly Rohrbach, Charlotte McKinney, Jon Bass, and wait for it, Priyanka Chopra.Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff will also make obligatory appearances.Nothing, absolutely nothing, about this movie feels "iconic" in any manner. All we can see is a re-branding of the name "Baywatch", packaged to come off as a cop-buddy movie.We know Johnson, and especially Efron, can be funny on screen but doesn't look very promising. But we'll hold out final judgement till after the release of the movie. For now, any fans of Baywatch, the TV show, prepare for the worst.Baywatch  hits the theatres in may 2017.
