Sunil Pal had recently uploaded a video on his social media account where he accused filmmaker Anees Bazmee and his partner Mayur Borat of duping him after persuading him to do a show. The director has now responded with his side of the story. About the allegations made, he says he only "directed Sunil to Mayur’s requirements" and that his role ended there, in a statement given to DNA.[caption id="attachment_3888595" align="alignleft" width="380"]Anees Bazmee and Sunil Pal. He does not deny that he had told Pal he would cast him in some role in one of his films. However, he maintains that there was no suitable role that Pal could be cast in in his last film Mubarakan.Revealing more details about the event that Pal claims he performed at and is yet to receive payment for, Bazmee said that the comedian got drunk at the event and failed to perform. Therefore, there is no question of receiving remuneration for a show that never happened in the first place. He says Pal is only using his name for cheap publicity. Clearing the air one last time, he told DNA, "Now, of course, there is no question of working with a trouble-maker."
