Afshan Azad, Padma Patil from Harry Potter films, to attend Hyderabad Comic Con

First the build-up — then the let down.When Comic Con India tweeted that there would be a very special guest from the Potterverse at its upcoming Hyderabad edition, our excitement knew no bounds.A reference to the Marauder's Map! Who could it be? Our brains buzzed at such high speeds, a casual observer may have thought there was some kind of spell at work: Rowling, Radcliffe, Watson and Grint were all discarded as being too high profile; Gary Oldman? Patil.Or rather actress Afshan Azad who played Patil in the Harry Potter films.That seems like a bit of a comedown considering Comic Con India has given us Hodor (Kristian Nairn), Nymphadora Tanks and Osha the Wildling (Natalia Tena), Mycroft Holmes (Mark Gatiss) as guests earlier.If all we were getting was Padma Patil, we wish that Marauder's Map hadn't been fished out like a red herring. We'd rather have seen an invite to the Yule Ball or something instead.On a more businesslike note, Patil Padma, mother-of-Panju-in-an-alternate-timeline, shall be in Hyderabad to attend the Alto Hyderabad Comic Con this September.That's actress Afshan Azad's confirmatory tweet:We shall reserve our excitement for the presence of V for Vendetta illustrator David Llyod now.
