Aamir Khan appears on Time Magazine cover

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has become the third Indian actor after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Parveen Babi to be featured on the cover of Time magazine.Time magazine featured Aamir on its cover for taking up social issues on his show Satyamev Jayate. His show is said to have brought a revolution in the society.[caption id="attachment_437470" align="alignleft" width="380"] Time magazine cover[/caption]He is featured on the cover of Time with the caption Khan's Quest. The blurb says, "He's breaking the Bollywood mould by tackling India's social evils. Can one actor change a nation?"It was only after his show that the Rajasthan government promised to set up fast track courts to resolve pending female foeticide cases in the state. Aamir was also invited to the Parliament to discuss issue of FDI in pharmaceuticals.The actor also met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to emphasise the plight of manual scavengers.Parveen Babi featured on Time magazine cover in July 1976 and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 2003.Other than Bollywood actors, Indians who have made it to the cover of the magazine include Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Narendra Modi.
