BG Srinivas, UB Pravin Rao elevated to Infosys presidents

Infosys today appointed BG Srinivas and UB Pravin Rao as presidents of the company.They will report to Infosys CEO SD Shibulal.

These appointments are effective immediately, the company said in a statement.

While Srinivas willwill focus on global markets, UB Pravin Rao will focus on global delivery & service.

"These changes will further enhance our focus ondeepening client relationships, increasing market share,creating service differentiation through innovation andagility in execution," Shibulal said.

As per the company statement, financial Services, Insurance,Manufacturing Engineering, Energy & Comm, Lodestone and marketing services will report to BG Srinivas, while retail, consumer packaging goods, logistics and life science will report to UB Pravin Rao.

The executive Council will cease to exist from April 1, the company statement added.

Shares of Infosys, which rose by over 50 percent sinceJune, gained 2.6 percent today to close at Rs 3565.45 on BSE.

It is also learnt that Srinivas and Rao are now beinggroomed to take over the top job when Shibulal retires in2015.
