Cadbury ropes in Ranbir Kapoor as brand ambassador for Oreo

Cadbury India, a part of Mondelez International, today said it has roped in Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and Tamil actor Karthi as brand ambassadors for its biscuit brand 'Oreo' in the country.

New Delhi: Cadbury India, a part of Mondelez International, today said it has roped in Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and Tamil actor Karthi as brand ambassadors for its biscuit brand 'Oreo' in the country.

Commenting on the development, Mondelez International associate vice president - Biscuits, India & South Asia Chella Pandyan said Ranbir and Karthi have universal appeal and personalities that perfectly fit the lighthearted personality of the brand.

"We believe that with both of them on board it is going be a fun ride taking Oreo's appeal to the next level," he added.

The two brand ambassadors will be introduced through a delightful new campaign - 'Connect Playfully', based on the unique relationship shared by siblings, Pandyan said.

Apart from the TV commercial (TVC) featuring the two actors, the company said it will also connect with the customers through a 360-degree campaign with outdoor, digital, radio and on-ground activities.

Cadbury India operates in five categories - Chocolate confectionery, Beverages, Biscuits, Gum and Candy. It sells various brands including Cadbury Dairy Milk, Bournvita, 5 Star, Perk, Bournville, Celebrations, Halls, Tang and Oreo.

Mondelez International, which had posted revenues of $35 billion in 2012, markets chocolate, biscuits, gum, candy, coffee and powdered beverages in 165 countries.
