Signet Computers Launches Solid State Drives
The SSDs are geared for applications that require high speed, high concurrent access and high robustness.
Signet Computers, a provider of memory upgrades and storage solutions, has announced the launch of Solid State Drives (SSD) in the Indian market geared for applications that require high speed, high concurrent access and high robustness. SSD is a data storage technology utilising solid state memory. The greater efficiency of SSDs offers users a quick start-up, instant opening of applications and finding files in a fraction of the usual time taken by traditional HDDs.
With the fast-growing demand for SSDs across the board in the storage industry, commercially-available SSDs have generated a revolution in the storage industry.
"SSDs are ideal for mission-critical systems, enterprise-wide applications, telecom, e-commerce, BFSI and disaster recovery sites to name a few. The drives are equipped with standard interfaces and pass through strict hardware and software testing standards for consistency and functionality," said S P J Rajan, Director, Signet Computers. "SSDs also reduce maintenance costs compared with traditional HDDs, which is essential for today's markets and economy to lower the TCO," he added.
