Air India Express resumes Kuwait and Salalah flights after West Asia disruptions
Kozhikode-Salalah services resume from July 2, Kuwait flights to restart from July 3 and Bengaluru-Kuwait operations from July 4 as the airline gradually restores capacity across the Gulf.

Air India Express has restored flight operations to Kuwait and Salalah, marking the full resumption of its West Asia network after weeks of disruption caused by regional airspace restrictions.
The airline resumed flights between Kozhikode and Salalah in Oman on July 2, while services on the Kozhikode-Kuwait route will restart from July 3. Flights connecting Bengaluru and Kuwait are scheduled to resume from July 4, with frequencies set to increase gradually in the coming days as demand recovers.
With the resumption of the Salalah route, Air India Express now operates services from two airports in Oman, Muscat International Airport and Salalah International Airport, further strengthening its connectivity to the Gulf region.
The airline said the phased restoration follows an improvement in operating conditions across West Asia, where airspace disruptions had forced several carriers to suspend or modify flight schedules in recent weeks. The latest move restores Air India Express' complete network in the region, a key market that serves a large Indian expatriate population and business travellers.
The restoration is expected to provide relief to passengers travelling between India and the Gulf, particularly those flying from Kerala and Karnataka, while improving connectivity to key labour and business destinations in Kuwait and Oman.
