A strain Imaad wasn’t born with

Naseeruddin Shah and wife Ratna Pathak’s son, Imaad, isn’t quite the hottest newcomer on the block, but having inherited the “acting gene”, he’s  naturally drawn to theatre and films. The actor debuted with Yun Hota to Kya Hota in 2006, and followed it up with Dil Dosti Etc in 2007 and in 2009. But Pulp Society, a music outfit he’s a part of, is what transforms the actor into a pulsating musician. Imaad has turned music director with his next film, 404, directed by Prawaal Raman of the Gayab and Darna Mana Hai fame. He performed live with his band mates at the music launch of the film, with an enthusiastic Tisca Chopra, Satish Kaushik, Mukesh Bhatt, Vishal Bharadwaj and Sudhir Mishra in attendance. Proud parents Naseer and Ratna cheered on as he strummed his guitar and rocked the stage.
