Swiss-based brand 'SCOTT Sports' to offer riding apparel and accessories in India

SCOTT Sports, a Swiss based multi sport company has launched its Motosports division in India. The announcement was done during the 2016 edition of Royal Enfield Rider Mania in Goa. The range of products under the SCOTT Motosports includes riding apparel, protection, and accessories for both, on-road and off-road motorcycling.If you are interested in the off-road category then the company offers gloves, jerseys, pants, motocross boots, and body armour. It also offers its popular range of helmet and goggles, which have UV protection, anti-fog, custom-fit facemasks, and OTG lenses.In the on-road category SCOTT offers riding trousers, denims, jackets, gloves, and protectors. The Swiss brand offers a variety of jackets ranging from track leathers to touring jackets. Touring jackets feature breathable material that is advisable for Indian weather. The jackets also feature dedicated slots for back, elbow, and shoulder protectors.The company is also expected to bring in riding denims for women, with built in knee guards and Kevlar/Aramid base lining. Pricing for the SCOTT Motosports range starts from Rs 5,000 and go all the way up to Rs 30,000.Not a lot of brands, especially international ones, offer a wide range of riding gear and equipment in the country. It'll be interesting to see if SCOTT can tap into the Indian Market.
