Next gen Hyundai Elantra brings European design and upgraded interiors to India on 23 August

Hyundai Motors India is all geared up to bring in its refreshed compact sedan to the Indian market. While news about dealers taking pre-orders popped up online just yesterday, we now know that the next generation Elantra will be launched in India on 23 August.The compact sedan was first unveiled at Los Angeles Auto show. At the reveal many witnessed the new, European design language which is a big jump from the bolder and aggressive stance of the 2015 model, that is currently on sale in India. While hexagonal front grille looks modern, it does remind me of Audi's new front grille design that has made its way onto its 2017 lineup of vehicles.Sporting a vertical LED DRLs on the front, we now also have an LED set up for the tail lights that give the car a modern look.And the aggressive styling gets toned down with the interiors as well. The same however gets some big upgrades over the older model, with a touch screen multimedia system, along with new upholstery and some goodies like ventilated seats, a multi-function steering wheel and more.Overall, while the design gets toned down, Hyundai goes big on features with supposedly better handling and smoother ride.
