The much-awaited Maruti Suzuki Swift has been announced and was the highlight of the Maruti Suzuki stand. Pricing starts at Rs 4.99 lakh.

The new Swift features an all new design. Maruti Suzuki[/caption]The much-awaited Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched and was the highlight of the Maruti Suzuki stand. Pricing starts from Rs 4.99 lakh and goes all the way up to 7.96 lakh for the top-end diesel version.The car is built on the new 'Heartect' platform that makes it lighter and more rigid than the previous model.The design too has grown up and now looks a lot more modern compared to the early 2000s concept design that the automaker has been ruminating over and over again. There's an updated cabin and new LED headlamps and DRLs as well.The Swift is available in both petrol and diesel models.[caption id="attachment_4341583" align="alignnone" width="1280"]

The diesel model comes with 1.3-litre DDIS engine that generates 74 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque.
