Audi India launches A3 40 TFSI Premium at Rs 25.50 lakh

This new trim gets new wheels, tweaked interiors and basic creature comforts

Audi has launched the base A3 40 TFSI Premium in India at Rs 25.50 lakh (ex-Mumbai). On the outside, this new variant will get new 15-spoke Y-design wheels (not seen in the images), electrically adjustable exterior mirrors and halogen lamps. This trim will also feature the High Gloss Package. The other petrol trim in the A3 range is the Premium Plus which retails for Rs 31.4 lakh.

The interior gets a four-spoke multifunctional leather steering wheel, new transparent inlays, rear ac vents and Regatta leatherette fabric upholstery. The car also gets an electronically adjustable driver’s seat, a chrome package and a lighting package. The interior colour schemes offered are Black, Chestnut Brown and Pashmina Beige.

The A3 40 TFSI Premium gets Audi’s music and Bluetooth interface, passive speakers and Audi’s MMI radio. The equipment list on this trim includes light and rain sensors, a rear parking aid, automatic two-zone air conditioning, rough ride suspension, cruise control and a hill-assist function. Additionally, the A3 40 TFSI Premium also gets seven airbags, anti-slip regulation, electronic stabilisation control and anti-theft wheel bolts.

The A3 40 TFSI Premium uses the same 1.8-litre in-line four-cylinder petrol engine mated to Audi’s 7-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission, giving the car a claimed 0-100kmph time of 7.3 seconds. The engine makes 180PS and 250Nm and gives the A3 40 TFSI a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 16.6kmpl.
