US Capitol police arrests about 300 demonstrators gathered urging ceasefire in Gaza

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered at a congressional building in Washington on Wednesday to call for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas conflict, resulting in an estimated 300 arrests and restricting access to Capitol Hill.Taking to X (formerly Twitter), US Capitol Police, “A group of protesters are demonstrating inside the Cannon Rotunda. Demonstrations are not allowed inside Congressional Buildings.""Demonstrations are not allowed inside Congressional Buildings," the Capitol Police said after the arrests."We warned the protestors to stop demonstrating and when they did not comply we began arresting them," the Capitol Police added.

Among the targets, an observation post towards the sea was attacked from where anti-tank fire was launched at Rosh Hankara on Wednesday. The IDF said the attacks were carried out in response to the incidents of shooting at Israel.With ANI inputs.
