Santorum quits prez race, endorses Romney

Washington: Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum endorsed his former rival and the party's presumptive White House nominee, Mitt Romney, late on Monday.Santorum said in a statement that the two have differences but that he came away from a meeting with the former Massachusetts governor last week impressed with Romney's "deep understanding" of economic and family issues central to the campaign.[caption id="attachment_301992" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Reuters"][/caption]"Above all else, we both agree that President (Barack) Obama must be defeated.
