Houthi official warns of Yemen becoming a "graveyard" for US forces

In an interview with the Iranian state news agency IRNA, Ali al-Qahoum, a senior Houthi official, issued a stern warning, stating that Yemen will become a "graveyard" for US forces.Al-Qahoum conveyed a message to the Americans, asserting that their actions in Yemen will be met with resistance and defeated. He went on to declare that after the recent aggression, Yemen will transform into a graveyard for the Americans, leading them to leave the region in humiliation, as reported by IRNA.This statement follows two waves of strikes by US and British forces against Houthi-controlled sites, targeting over 60 locations in response to weeks of attacks by the Iran-backed Yemeni rebel group on commercial vessels.Despite the strikes reducing Houthi offensive capabilities by 20 to 30 percent, US officials, speaking to the New York Times, acknowledged that the threat persists. Al-Qahoum further warned that the US and its allies should anticipate "strategic blows and a more painful response." He emphasized that the Yemeni people and their leaders are fully prepared to engage in a direct and all-encompassing war with the "Great Satan" to defend Palestine, referring to the United States.
