Gaza War: 2 hostages killed, several injured in Israeli strikes, says Hamas

Hamas' military branch, Al Qassam Brigades, announced on Sunday on the group's Telegram channel that two Israeli hostages had died and eight others had been critically injured as a result of Israeli strikes on the Gaza strip over the previous ninety-six hours."Because they are unable to receive the necessary therapy, their ailments are getting worse. Regarding the remaining hostages, the statement stated that "(Israel) bears full responsibility for the lives of those injured in light of their continued bombing."In their unprovoked onslaught on October 7, Hamas terrorists killed 1,200 people in southern Israel and abducted at least 250 more, according to Israeli estimates. Over 28,000 Palestinians have died as a result of Israel's military attack on the Gaza Strip in retaliation, according to the health ministry headed by Hamas.Over 100 Israeli and foreign hostages were released by Hamas during a week-long truce in late November, in return for Israel freeing approximately 240 Palestinian inmates.Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the chief military spokesperson for Israel, announced on Tuesday that thirty-one of the hostages still being held by Hamas in Gaza have passed away."We have informed 31 families that their captured loved ones are no longer among the living and that we have pronounced them dead," he told a regular media briefing.According to Israel, there are still 136 captives being held in Gaza.
