Desperate Marie Claire photoshops Kate Middleton on cover

Kate Middleton has been the dream cover girl of every magazine editor ever since she became the Duchess of Cambridge.And for a while it seemed that the South African edition of  the Marie Claire magazine had managed the impossible, when it featured the royal fashion icon posing on its cover for August.[caption id="attachment_380695" align="alignleft" width="380"] Marie Claire August cover.[/caption]Well, not really! Telegraph.UK reported that the image that is on the cover of Marie Claire isn't the duchess at all.But it is the next best thing that they could have — that is ofcourse her image! A picture of  Kate has been photoshopped and although the head and hands are her own,  the body on the magazine cover is that of a fashion model on whom a  'colourful' creation by South African designer, Clive Rundle has been draped.The Editor of Marie Claire Aspasia Karras explains " The cover is actually a hyper-real illustration of Kate, meant to be a fan art tribute to fashion's new royal icon."Well, the urge to pay tribute is understandable, although the method used might not go down well with the royal highness.There has been no comment on the issue from the Duchess of Cambridge yet, but the cover has already sparked up furious debate  in the media. Kate Middleton has been the most coveted celebrity by all fashion magazines but she has turned down all requests, including that of Vogue to pose as a cover girl.The Marie Claire cover with Kate Middleton's image read as follows:  'Fashion's new royal icon wears SA's best local designers*' but then again since she isn't really wearing it, there  is also a P.S note that says :  '*Of course she doesn't. But she should."Well, we have royal doubts about that!
