The geek world is excited about Tuesday, because today is when Apple is scheduled to host its 'special event.' There are wide expectations that the special thing about today's event is the launch of Apple's newest phone, likely to be called the iPhone5.Though Apple hasn't officially announced the unveiling of the iPhone5, it sent invites in central London which read ''Let's talk iPhone."[caption id="attachment_98618" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Apple is expected to launch the iPhone5 today. Reuters"][/caption]A similar event will also be held at Apple's headquarters in California.The event is not big just because of the launch of the new iPhone. It is also a big day for CEO, Tim Cook, who will lead the event, as he will be expected to step in the shoes of Steve Jobs. Also, the company is going through a management change after Steve Jobs moved out of it, which poses a challenge for Cook.Insiders point out that the new iPhone will have a bigger screen and built-in voice recognition system. Though it is yet not known when the phone will be up for sale and what will be its price.Some insiders also expect a cheaper version of the iPhone4 to be unveiled in today's event.In the last four years Apple has launched its new iPhone hardware and the next version of its iOS software at the same time. This year though was an exception as the iOS 5 was revealed in June whereas the hardware has still not been launched.Meanwhile, for those who are waiting to buy a second-hand Apple iPhone4, this is good news.
