Twitter introduces 'Blue line' to highlight timeline conversations

Twitter is attempting to simplify the user process with a simple blue line. As of today, your Twitter feed on the desktop site, on iPhone and Android will have 'conversations' between the people you follow and others, linked with a thin blue line. The line will appear at the bottom of profile pics.Twitter announced the change on Wednesday in an official blog post, stating "Tweets that are part of a conversation are shown in chronological order so it’s easier for you to follow along. You’ll see up to three Tweets in sequence in your home timeline; if you want to see more, you can tap a Tweet to see all the replies, including those from people you don’t follow."[caption id="attachment_1069585" align="alignleft" width="380"] Twitter logo. AFP image[/caption]Twitter also says that you will soon be able to report abusive or spam Tweets from the site itself and from the Android app. This is already available on the iPhone app. All of these features will be rolled out gradually starting today.The new blue line has had its detractors:

This article on Slate, however, was more complimentary:"Hardly anyone holds actual conversations on Twitter..everyone’s too busy barking into their own megaphones to respond to anyone else. Either that, or they’re lurking passively in the faceless crowd...There are people on Twitter who spend most of their time replying to other people’s tweets... It felt like you were constantly showing up late to an A/B conversation, and the polite thing to do was to C yourself out. On reflection, Twitter has decided that it would rather you butted in."Watch video below:
