Asus Padfone mini First Look : A quick solution to switch from a smartphone to a tablet
Asus Padfone mini is the latest entry level tablet and smartphone hybrid from Asus. The phone is a dual-SIM one

The bundle is standard, having a power adapter, data cable and in-ear headphones along with the instruction manuals[/caption][caption id="attachment_242823" align="aligncenter" width="1280"]
The tablet portion has a 7-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 covering[/caption][caption id="attachment_242831" align="aligncenter" width="1280"]
Thanks to the 7-inch form factor, the Padfone mini fits in your palms, but the docked phone gives it a little bulk[/caption][caption id="attachment_242824" align="aligncenter" width="1280"]
The tablet powers up, when the phone is docked behind it. There is a proprietary dock which fits into the Padfone Station behind[/caption][caption id="attachment_242825" align="aligncenter" width="1280"]
The tablet is raised slightly from the base when the phone is docked behind it. The microUSB charging port, power/standby and volume rocker buttons are located on the right hand side[/caption][caption id="attachment_242826" align="aligncenter" width="1280"]
Seen here is the rear side of the tablet with the 4-inch ZenUI sporting Asus phone detached. The Padfone Station has rubberised inner sides which protects the phone[/caption][caption id="attachment_242827" align="aligncenter" width="1280"]
The phone powering the tablet is a modified version of the Asus Zenfone 4 having a 4-inch 800x480 pixel display and it houses an Intel Atom Z2560 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. It's a dual-SIM, dual-standby support[/caption][caption id="attachment_242829" align="aligncenter" width="1280"]
Both the phone as well as the tablet house batteries. The phone has a 1,200mAh battery whereas the tablet has a 2,100mAh battery[/caption][caption id="attachment_242828" align="aligncenter" width="1280"]
On the rear side of the tablet, there is a Padfone Station to house the Asus smartphone[/caption]
