Nvidia confirms N2X and N3X chips as part of its expanding RTX spark roadmap

The PC industry has long been dominated by Intel and AMD silicon, but Nvidia's latest breakthrough could soon power an entirely new generation of devices. Jensen Huang has confirmed that a series of upcoming products will be powered by Nvidia processors, with additional hardware and ecosystem expansions expected to follow.

During a recent Q&A session with Tom's Guide at Computex 2026, Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang confirmed that the N1X is only the first entry in a much larger long-term lineup.

"N2X and N3X are already planned," Huang said. He also revealed that "N1X is called N1X because it has a smaller version called N1." This suggests that an unreleased N1 variant is already somewhere in Nvidia's product pipeline.

Huang highlighted the prospects of expanding the processor family, signaling that there will be additional iterations and successors built on the RTX Spark architecture. He also compared RTX Spark-powered systems to home theater equipment that users can comfortably keep for five to ten years, emphasizing their long-term value and relevance.

During the conversation, Huang was also asked about the possibility of an Nvidia-powered gaming handheld. His response was encouraging, to say the least.

"If somebody wants to do it, we'll work with them on it," Huang said.

However, anti-cheat compatibility remains one of the biggest hurdles before gaming on RTX Spark-powered systems can become viable at scale.
