Nokia has shut down its India online music store on the web but the service continues to be available on mobile.This was first spotted by MediaNama and Nokia issued a statement to the website saying, "“Nokia Music remains hugely committed to provide Indian consumers with a great music service today and in the future... We communicated the ramp down of desktop downloads in India back in 2011 as part of our mobile first strategy. The screengrab of the Nokia music website.[/caption]According to a statement given to BGR the company said that it had moved to a mobile-only Nokia Music subscription plan and the desktop store had been shut down for new subscribers way back in December 2011. The message on the Nokia's website says, This Nokia Music site is no longer available. You can still enjoy Nokia Music on most Nokia phones. Listen to mixes, enjoy your own music and connect to local music in the usual way. It looks like Nokia is shifting focus to mobile and forcing users to switch to mobile downloads instead of PC downloads.
