Yu Yutopia finally starts shipping to pre-bookers

The smartphone with no compromises has finally started shipping to to customers who pre-booked the smartphone on 17 December. However, the Yutopia, a smartphone designed by Yu Televentures, has yet to go on sale on Amazon its exclusive e-tailer, and this is expected to happen on 30 December.It isn't clear whether the smartphone will go on flash sales just yet, but the company did confirm that it will be available in limited numbers, so those who are looking at buying one will have to hit the 'Buy Now' and secure a unit in advance.Unveiled on the 20 December, the Yu Yutopia is currently listed on Amazon for Rs 24,999 for the grey, 32 GB variant. In terms of specifications, the smartphone will sport a 5.2-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution along with 565 ppi. It also comes with 91 percent NTSC spec, pure black touch panel, OGS display with Corning Concore Glass for protection. It will be powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with 4 GB DDR4 RAM and also packs in an Adreno 430 GPU. The Yu Yutopia comes equipped with 32 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via a microSD card.In the camera department we have a 21 MP rear camera with a Sony IMX230 sensor, phase detect AF and OIS, and 4K recording at 60 fps on the back paired with an 8 MP camera set up up front. The smartphone packs in a circular fingerprint reader on the back, a 3000 mAh battery and a USB Type-C port to complete the package.Also included in the software is the AroundYU service, which is an integrated platform for service discovery.
