Xiaomi Redmi Note goes out of stock in eight seconds during second flash sale

Today was the second round of sale of the Xiaomi Redmi Note, which was launched recently in India. The phone that's priced at an affordable Rs 8,999  for the 3G version, reportedly went out-of-stock in less than a minute.Those who’ve managed to buy the device will have to make the payment before 6PM today. As always, the limited stock coupled with plenty of demand means that the sale leaves many buyers empty-handed. Buyers who are lucky enough to get their hands on the devices, then tend to resell these phones at higher prices. A simple search on Twitter brings out a number of buyers selling the Redmi Note at inflated prices.  The Redmi Note has a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display. It boasts of 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core processor, which we’ve seen on the HTC Desire 616 and Micromax Canvas Knight. It features a healthy 2GB of RAM, making it one of the cheapest smartphones with 2GB of RAM. Other specs include 8GB onboard storage, microSD card slot up to 32GB, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter for selfies and 3100mAh battery.
