Xiaomi[/caption]It's more than a year old, but Xiaomi's budget Redmi Note 4 smartphone is losing its charm to brands like Huawei's Honor, that seem to be beating both OnePlus and Xiaomi at their own game.The recently launched Huawei Honor 9 Lite offers better specifications, a new and refreshed design and even throws in dual cameras on the back and the front.Add the latest Android 8.0 Oreo software to the mix, and it hard to pick a Redmi Note 4 anymore.Xiaomi could have been dethroned, but the price cut may be a move to empty stocks as Xiaomi makes way for a new Note 5. While there are no details about the smartphone just yet, rumours point to the Redmi 5 Plus, getting rebranded as the Note 5 for India.The smartphone was recently launched in China, and features a FullHD+ display with a tried and tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 paired 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. Xiaomi offers a 12 MP rear camera at the back and 5 MP unit on the front keeping things simple. Powering it all is a 4,000 mAh battery.The brand will have to do a lot better than this to deliver a worthy successor to the Note 4, one that should not only feature a new design, but better camera chops to go with it.
