Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, Note 2 Prime with 5.5-inch Full HD display and MIUI 7 now official

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 2 that kept popping its head now and then is finally official. Successor to the popular Redmi Note, the specs seem to be in line with the rumour mill.The all-new Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It is powered by MediaTek's latest MT6795 Helio X10 SoC, octa-core Cortex A53 clocked at 2.2GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM.On the camera front, expect a 13-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The device runs the company's newest MIUI 7 that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device is now lighter than its predecessor at 160 grams and measures 152mm x 76mm x 8.25mm.
