Xiaomi launches the Mi Router 3C in India priced at Rs 1,199

The Xiaomi Mi Router 3C is a smart Wi-Fi router that comes with its own companion app for setup and network management.

Today we saw Xiaomi launching a new budget smartphone or the Indian market. The new Redmi 4 comes in as a successor to the Redmi 3S Prime with prices starting at Rs 6,999. Along with that the company launched its first ever Wi-Fi router in India.The Mi Router 3C is not just your average router, its a smart router. It is equipped with four high-performance antennas each of which the company says, comes with a dedicated PCB circuit and has a 2-transmit, 2-receive antenna design. This is said to improve Wi-Fi range and signal stability. Mi Router 3C features has 64 MB of RAM and can offer wireless speeds of up to 300 mbps. It also has the capacity to connect up to 64 devices including 20 computing devices and 44 IoT devices.Router3C-2It also comes with a dedicated app called Mi Wi-Fi which helps in setting up of the router as well as network management. One can also get access to real-time monitoring of bandwidth usage, QoS to prioritize bandwidth to devices and Wi-Fi boost. It also allows pre-configured guest sharing of the Wi-Fi password and parental controls. The app is available on both Android and iOS.The Mi Router 3C is priced at Rs 1,199 and will be available from 20 May at the Mi Home store. It will also be made available for purchase online on Mi.com on 23 May and on Flipkart and Amazon India starting 8 June.
