Xiaomi launches Mi 5X Special Edition in China; pre-orders start from 1 November

Xiaomi has announced a special edition of Mi 5X in the Chinese market. The company has launched this new variant of the 5X with the name 'Mi 5X Special Edition' to emphasise the difference.[caption id="attachment_4175803" align="alignleft" width="380"]Xiaomi Mi 5X Special Edition. Image credit: Xiaomi[/caption]However, the thing that separates this edition from the usual 5X is the colour of the device which is bright Red on the back panel, while the front sports black panel.According to a report by The Mobile Indian the special edition, Mi 5X has been priced at 1,499 yuan which translated to Rs 14,285 at the time of writing. The Xiaomi Mi 5X Special Edition is available for pre-order on both online and offline platforms in China from 1 November 2017.The Mi 5X Special Edition is powered by 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 along with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It packs a 5.5-inch full HD display with a full metal unibody design. Xiaomi has packed a dual camera setup with a 12 MP wide angle lens and a 12 MP telephoto lens on the back of the camera which is similar to the setup used in the Xiaomi Mi 6.[caption id="attachment_4175779" align="alignnone" width="2015"]Xiaomi Mi 5X Special Edition. It draws power from a 3,080 mAh battery along with a ‘stand-alone audio amplifier’ with DHS audio calibration algorithm for high-quality audio.
