Will the iPod Classic Stay Alive?
There is a chance of an update, as a larger capacity drive has been launched by Toshiba

I will survive
MacRumors even had a reader who put up a post in which he stated that he had emailed Steve Jobs requesting him not to kill the Classic. Apparently, Jobs replied back saying that they will not be doing so. MacRumors also believes that the email is genuine, so there’s a chance that we may be seeing an all new iPod Classic soon.
One of the first MP3 players I received was an iPod Classic, and that was quite a while back. I still think it’s a great player and is convenient to use with large storage capacity. I’m pretty sure a lot of people including me would be very disappointed if the Classic was discontinued. So here’s to hoping that it does come back in an all new avatar.
