WatsApp Payment, a payment feature by Facebook-owned WatsApp, is now available for up to 20 million users in India. Te facility as been launced wit support from banking partners including te State Bank of India (SBI), DFC, ICICI, and Axis Bank. Te WatsApp Payment feature could serve as a competitor to oter digital payment apps including Paytm, Google Pay, PonePe. WatsApp Payment as been designed on te National Payments Corporation of India’s (NPCI) Unified Payment Interface (UPI) system.
