Vivo Y51L launched in India at Rs 11,980; features 5-inch display, 8MP camera

Vivo has unveiled a new smartphone going by the name Vivo Y51L, launched at a price of Rs 11,980. Y51L marks Vivo’s first major model of 2016 for the Indian market, assembled in the manufacturing plant in Greater Noida.In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 5-inch display with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 2GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.Running Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company's FunTouch OS 2.5 on top, the Vivo Y51L comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5MP front-facing camera. Additional features include Night mode, HDR, Panorama and Face Beauty modes. Connectivity features include GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and microUSB. A 2350mAh Li-Po battery completes the package.Speaking on the newly launched Y51L, Alex Feng, CEO, vivo India, said “The Indian smartphone market is tech savvy and price sensitive.
