Vivo X20 Plus UD's under-the-display fingerprint sensor may not work with some screen protectors

So if you damage the screen where the sensor is placed, then the sensor will not be able to detect your fingerprint which will render the entire technology useless.Therefore it becomes quite necessary to get a screen protector on the phone. However, if one was to buy a screen guard which is a bit thick, then the sensor would not detect your fingerprint. To counter this, Vivo will be giving a thin screen protector in the box package of the phone. This screen protector will be thin enough to provide seamless fingerprint sensor experience and strong enough to protect the display of the device. You can also opt for another screen-protector as Vivo plans on supplying the correct type to vendors, says the report.The Vivo X20 Plus UD, has been launched in China, with a price tag of CNY 3,600 (approximately Rs 36,000). The phone has a 6.4 inch 18:9 aspect ratio OLED display encased in Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, we find that the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.As of right now the Vivo X20 Plus UD is being sold only in China, but it could be possible that a phone with similar under-the-display fingerprint technology is launched in India since the country is a big market for Vivo.
