Microsoft's Surface Pro series has been a successful machine as it is (almost) a perfect blend of performance and portability. While we await for the next generation of the 2-in-1 device, Lenovo seems to be building its own new version of the Surface Pro. This isn't new as we have seen brands like Asus and Huawei doing the same.Lenovo's upcoming product, the Miix 720, will be yet another attempt to create a Surface clone. Lenovo has tried this in the past with the Miix 510 and the 700, but the newest rumoured device seems to be as good and in some ways better than the Surface Pro 4.[caption id="attachment_345469" align="aligncenter" width="528"]Lenovo-IdeaPad-Miix-720-1477848267-1-0 Image: WinFuture[/caption]If reports are to be believed then we can expect the latest Intel Kaby lake CPU in Core i3, i5 or i7 options along with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. While the basic version offering 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, it will feature a 12 inch 2880x1920 pixel resolution display along with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Impressed? Well there is more as it also comes with its own stylus with 2048 pressure levels as well as Windows Hello iris scanner/infrared camera.[caption id="attachment_345470" align="aligncenter" width="579"]Lenovo-IdeaPad-Miix-720-1477848274-1-12 Image: WinFuture[/caption]Lenovo won’t be picky when it comes to ports as the device is expected to have USB 3.0, 2.0 and USB Type C ports. There will be a foldable keyboard with backlighting and a 5,319 mAh that should last up to 8 hours. Pricing is expected to start at $1100 (Rs 73,000 approx) which is as good as the Surface Pro 4 and making it a perfect alternative.
