The Grand Tour by Amazon is the most pirated TV show in history

The Grand Tour is the TV comeback of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, who previously worked for the BBC hit show Top Gear. A new episode of the show is available every Friday for Amazon Prime subscribers.The show is currently available in United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Austria and Japan, and is expected to be launched in 200 countries along with Amazon Prime Video.Apparently, viewers cannot wait to watch it, or are avoiding having to pay for the Amazon Prime subscription to watch it. According to The Daily Mail, The Grand Tour is the most pirated TV show ever. The findings are based on a report by Muso, exclusively available with The Daily Mail. The first episode, "The Holy Trinity" has been illegally downloaded 7.9 million times. Episode two, "Operation Desert Stumble," has been pirated 6.4 million times, and episode three, "Opera, Art and Donuts" has been illegally distributed 4.6 million times. The figures do not show the number of times the latest episode, "Enviro-mental" has been pirated.Muso, which monitors piracy related activity has said that the piracy rates for The Grand Tour stands out, and is more than the piracy rates of other hit shows, including Game of Thrones. Amazon has said that The Grand Tour has broken records around the world on Amazon Prime Video and enjoyed the biggest premiere from the company.The revenue loss from the piracy of the first episode alone is expected to be about £3.2 million (around Rs 27.20 crores) in the UK alone.
