Tag Heuer collaborates with Intel to launch the Connected Modular 45 smartwatch

Tag Heuer has partnered with Intel and has announced the Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 luxury connected watch. The smartwatch comes with Tag Heuer’s Swiss watchmaking heritage offers connectivity features with a customizable, modular design.The new smartwatch runs on Android Wear 2.0 and is powered by an Intel Atom Z34XX processor. There is a 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 2.5 sapphire cover glass and a durable titanium case. As with most smartwatches, it comes with 4GB of storage, is water resistant and is said to offer more than a day of battery charge.The all-metal watch also comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Near Field Communication and yes it supports NFC based payment via Android Pay. It also comes with a companion app available on Android which helps users take full advantage of the watch’s features. Of course you also get Google Voice control which is embedded in Android Wear and can be triggered using the in-built microphone.According to Tag Heuer, the Connected Modular 45 provides a variety of customization capabilities to enable more than 500 style options. There are 56 different versions of the watch which includes 11 standard models and 45 others available on request. Users can personalize the watch with a variety of modules, horns, bracelets and buckles as well as 30 watch dial options.The watch will be available in satin or polished grade 5 titanium with  customization options from 14 March through Tag Heuer stores and major retailers worldwide starting at $1,600 (Rs 1,05,000 approx)
