According to a report on CNETSony's new watch will be water-proof, support NFC, Bluetooth and will run Android.

The report states, "It (Sony's smart watch) will run a version of Android (as the current version does), will feature a capacitive touch screen, and is said to have a three-icon layout below the screen (similar to Xperia smartphones)."
The smart watch market is likely to heat up this year as there have been reports that Apple, Google, LG and Microsoft are all working on their very own version of smart watches.
Sony is also expected to launch a 6.44-inch phablet device, the Xperia Z Ultra at the event.
