Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are smashing pre-order records: Report

Samsung's brand new Galaxy smartphones, the S7 and S7 edge, are already said to have received smashing pre-order records, according to Russian tech journalist Eldar Murtazin. According to him, Samsung will have to produce a lot more copies of the S7 Edge than the flat Galaxy S7.https://twitter.com/eldarmurtazin/status/704623004035239937A report by SamMobile further explains that 64 percent of pre-orders placed in Russia have been for the Galaxy S7 edge and remaining for the Galaxy S7. The company will, reportedly, be making a total of 17.2 million Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge units by next month.This does not come as a surprise as last year too, the demand for the S6 edge overshadowed the original Galaxy S6. However, the company did not expect this and as a result, fewer devices were available to meet demand. Hopefully this time around, Samsung will not repeat past occurrences.Samsung launched its latest flagship phones – the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge at the Unpacked 2016 event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Along with the two phones, Samsung also announced the Gear 360 camera post which Mark Zuckerberg came on stage to talk about how Gear 360 paired with Samsung Gear VR will be the future of consuming 360 videos.
