Samsung Galaxy S II is Officially Announced in India
The Galaxy S' much awaited successor is in India and pretty fast at that.

To start off with, the Galaxy S II is powered by a dual core processor clocking 1.2 GHz and a Mali-400MP GPU to enhance graphics. The device runs on Android Gingerbread and has Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz 4.0 User Interface running on top of it and has a Gorilla Glass encased Super AMOLED Plus display. A further look under the hood reveals the following of the smartphone:
- 4.3-inch Capacitive Super AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels
- 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, DLNA, GPS with A-GPS
- Bluetooth 3.0 + HS
- 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED Flash
- 2 megapixel secondary camera
- 3.5 mm audio jack
- Stereo FM with RDS
- 16/32 GB Internal memory, 1 GB RAM
The Galaxy S II has active noise cancellation with dedicated mic and there’s optional support for Near Field Communications as well. The camera has features like geo-tagging and touch focus along with others and can record 1080p videos at 30 fps. Apart from those, there’s support for various media formats like XviD, DivX, MP3, MP4 and more.
Now only the pricing of the Galaxy S II has been left and looking at how things are shaping up, it won’t be too long till we get information about that as well.
