Samsung event on June 20 to launch new Galaxy, Ativ devices

Samsung has announced a press event in London on 20 June where is it will be showing off new Galaxy devices along with the Ativ range. The Ativ range is dedicated to Windows 8 tablets and smartphones.

Samsung will also live-stream the event on YouTube. The invite of course doesn't reveal much.

So what devices are we likely to see at this event? For starters, variations of the Samsung Galaxy S4 are likely to be showcased. Techview.mehad reported that Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung Gulf, had said during a press conference that the company was working on a waterproof and dust-proof version of the Galaxy S4. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Activ could also make an appearance at this event.

According to this report onGSMArena, pictures of the Activ device have already been leaked.CNEThad reportedthat in a very bizarre move the device has been showcased in Croatia, before any other country.

The other Galaxy device that were could see is the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. The smartphone accidentally figured on the company's UK apps website sparking rumours of its release date.

Galaxy S4 mini is expected to have a 4.3-inch display, a 1.6 GHz dual-core processor, and and 8-megapixel camera, according to rumour mills.
